William W Wolford This child's death certificate states that he died of tuberculous. However, the parents believed differently. They felt that a witch had put a hex on the child as it woke up every night at the same time crying. After he died, and they took the crib apart to put it in storage, it had a burn mark on the underside of the mattress. They believed that the witch lit a fire everynight to hurt this baby.
